1. What should I do if the servo motor does not run when there is pulse output?


a. Monitor the current value of the pulse output of the controller and whether the pulse output light is flashing, confirm that the command pulse has been executed and the pulse has been output normally;


b. Check whether the control cables, power cables, and encoder cables from the controller to the drive are wired incorrectly, damaged or have poor contact;


c. Check whether the brake of the servo motor with brake has been opened; monitor the panel of the servo drive to confirm whether the pulse command is input;


d. The Run command is normal;


e. The control mode must select the position control mode;


f. Whether the input pulse type set by the servo drive is consistent with the command pulse setting;


c. Ensure that the forward rotation side drive is prohibited, the reverse side drive prohibition signal and the deviation counter reset signal are not input, the load is disconnected and the no-load operation is normal, and the mechanical system is checked.


2. The motor deviation counter overflow error occurred during operation.


Countermeasures: increase the set value of the deviation counter overflow level; slow down the rotation speed; extend the acceleration and deceleration time; the load is too heavy, it is necessary to reselect a larger capacity motor or reduce the load, and install a reducer and other transmission mechanisms to improve the load capacity.

Countermeasures: Check whether the wiring of the motor power cable and encoder cable is correct, and whether the cables are damaged.

Countermeasures: If the gain is set too large, adjust the gain manually or use the automatic gain adjustment function; extend the acceleration and deceleration time; if the load is too heavy, it is necessary to reselect a larger capacity motor or reduce the load, and install a reducer and other transmission mechanisms to improve the load capacity .


5. How to deal with abnormal sound or jitter when the servo motor is running?


computer system:


The coupling connecting the motor shaft and the equipment system is offset, and the mounting screws are not tightened; poor engagement of the pulleys or gears will also cause the load torque to change, try no-load operation, if the no-load operation is normal, check the mechanical system combination Check whether the part is abnormal; confirm whether the load inertia, torque and speed are too large, and try to run at no-load. If the no-load runs normally, reduce the load or replace the drive and motor with larger capacity.


Servo parameters:


The servo gain setting is too large, it is recommended to re-adjust the servo parameters manually or automatically; confirm the setting of the speed feedback filter time constant, the initial value is 0, you can try to increase the setting value; the electronic gear ratio setting is too large, it is recommended to restore to the factory Setting; resonance of the servo system and mechanical system, try to adjust the frequency and amplitude of the notch filter.


Servo wiring:


Use standard power cables, encoder cables, control cables, and whether the cables are damaged; check whether there is an interference source near the control line, whether it is parallel to or too close to a nearby high-current power cable; check whether the ground terminal potential changes, Make sure that the grounding is good.


6. What should I do if the servo motor reports an overspeed fault during position control operation?


It occurs as soon as the servo Run signal is connected: check whether the wiring of the servo motor power cable and encoder cable is correct and whether there is any damage.


Occurs during high-speed operation after inputting a pulse command: the pulse frequency output by the controller is too large, modify the program to adjust the pulse output frequency; the electronic gear ratio is set too large; the servo gain setting is too large, try to adjust the servo gain manually or automatically .


7. How to deal with the inaccurate positioning of the servo motor during position control?


First confirm whether the current value of the pulse actually sent by the controller is consistent with the expected value, if not, check and correct the program;


Monitor whether the number of pulse commands received by the servo drive is consistent with that sent by the controller, if not, check the control line cable; check whether the setting of the servo command pulse mode is consistent with the controller setting, such as CW/CCW or pulse + direction;


The servo gain setting is too large, try to adjust the servo gain manually or automatically; the servo motor is prone to accumulate errors during reciprocating motion. It is recommended to set a mechanical origin signal under the conditions allowed by the process, and perform the origin before the error exceeds the allowable range Search operation; the accuracy of the mechanical system itself is not high or the transmission mechanism is abnormal (such as the offset of the coupling between the servo motor and the equipment system, etc.).


8. What should I do if the servo motor reports overload without load?


If it happens when the servo Run signal is connected and there is no pulse:


Check the wiring of the servo motor power cable, check whether there is poor contact or cable damage; if it is a servo motor with a brake, be sure to open the brake; whether the speed loop gain is set too large; whether the speed loop integral time constant is set too small.


If the servo happens only during operation:


Whether the position loop gain is set too large; whether the positioning completion amplitude is set too small; check that there is no stall on the servo motor shaft, and readjust the machine.
